Engineering consultants
at the cutting edge.

Hello. We are Clancy.

We’re a specialist engineering consultancy delivering creative engineering designs that work for today and for future generations.

Working across the UK, we produce first-rate solutions to the most difficult engineering problems.

We help developers, land owners and end-users resolve unexpected constraints and build brilliant schemes.

It’s our person-centred approach that sets us apart. Our strength lies in the way we invest in our staff and promote a culture of trust and teamwork, making us better able to deliver your solution.

Making an impact.

  • Carbon neutral by 2030

We all have a duty to act on climate change and now is the time for accelerated action. Our resolute focus on the climate emergency has increased year on year. Today, we recognise that drastic action is needed. That’s why we place this agenda front and centre across every element of our business and have set the ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030, and working towards achieving net zero carbon by 2045.

Harnessing new ways of working, conducting embodied carbon surveys on our structures, and reducing the carbon footprint of our premises are all modest steps that help to make an immediate impact.

We’re also continually learning. We seek out information from the wider industry, learn from other people’s successes and failures and share our own whenever we can. We get involved in collective efforts to improve our industry’s environmental credentials and connect with our stakeholders to ensure our schemes operate sustainably.

By constantly working with an eye to the future, we can provide engineering and infrastructure solutions that work for today and future generations.

  • Delivering social value

For us, social value isn’t just about lip service. It’s about living and breathing key principles, fostering healthy, sustainable and resilient communities, and ensuring a positive legacy that persists long after we’re gone.

We fully recognise that there isn’t a one size fits all approach to adding value, and local community engagement is an intrinsic part of uncovering the most effective ways of improving lives. By working in partnership with our clients and collaborators from day one of a project, we can tease out tangible initiatives which are the key to unlocking real value at a local level.

By measuring the impact of our activities and gaining a solid understanding of the social outcomes of our work, we can ensure our communities enjoy immediate and long-term benefits.

  • Advanced thinking, smart working

We’re engineers at the cutting edge. A significant proportion of our current schemes challenge the industry norm.

Recent schemes include the trialling of ground-breaking mixed reality holographic technology on the Digi-Tech Factory at City College Norwich and supporting the government’s Clean Growth Strategy at the UK’s largest carbon capture and utilisation plant in Northwich. Currently, we’re using embodied carbon analysis on large regeneration developments in Salford and undertaking significant net zero carbon feasibility projects at various sites across London for the Metropolitan Police.

These pioneering schemes celebrate specialist knowledge and bespoke technical solutions, drawn upon from the collective skill sets across our offices.

We’ve long been a firm advocate of digital technology for smarter working. We’re continually developing innovative and detailed technical design solutions to various challenging engineering issues. The team is currently developing design software which gives us a significant leading edge in terms of productivity and smarter working, helping us achieve more efficient and cost-effective solutions.
