Graduate Electrical Building Services Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in Building Services. You will join our highly experienced and successful team in our Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham office.

To work effectively as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you are required to work coherently with the team to scheme, design, coordinate, draw and check our projects. You must successfully prepare accurate designs and coordinate risks, options, and opportunities with the clients. Finally, you ought to fully use your communication skills to establish good relationships with your colleagues.

Role and responsibilities

  • Prepare design calculations and technical drawings under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.

  • Support Senior Engineers in carrying out the project design from commencement to completion.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other construction professionals about projects.

  • Attend meetings with clients and other construction professionals under supervision of senior engineers.

  • Keep up to date with the CPD requirements within CIBSE.

  • Work towards your chartership with the support of your mentor and colleagues regularly and systematically.

  • Ensure designs meet required standards following our Integrated Management System.

  • Follow instruction, but confident enough to ask for explanation if required.

  • Take ownership of individual tasks set by senior members of the team.

  • Show initiative and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

  • Master or Bachelors degree in Building Services Engineering or BTEC HNC in Building Services Engineering.
