Apprentice Civil Technician, Leeds

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Level 6 Apprentice to join our team and support the delivery of infrastructure and engineering projects across a range of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians while studying towards a degree-level qualification in civil/structural engineering.
As a Level 6 Apprentice you’ll be expected to provide appropriate technical support to our Engineers as you develop your knowledge of analysing, designing and managing construction projects.
Role and responsibilities
Contribute to the planning and delivery of technical and design information at each stage of a project.
Undertake simple design calculations and produce CAD drawings in a form that can readily be checked by senior staff, gradually progressing to more complex work as your skills develop.
Assist with preparing detailed estimates and producing information on quantities and types of materials required for the safe construction of projects.
Help the team manage the flow of information within agreed timescales and quality standards.
Work collaboratively as part of a larger team to deliver projects.
Monitor the progress of technical aspects of construction work and report any potential issues to the Senior Engineer.
Ensure correct and timely recording, filing and storage of information.
Follow instructions from senior staff but be confident to ask for clarification where needed.
Complete timesheets accurately and on time.
Assist the technical and management team with daily weekly monthly task associated with eye design office activities
Education requirements
Minimum of 5 GCSE/N5 (or equivalent from other Exam Boards) passes at Grades of 5/B and above (including Maths and English) and preferably a Grade 6/A in Maths.
A relevant BTEC, T Level, or Advanced Apprenticeship at Level 3, or
Equivalent qualifications or experience that demonstrate your ability to study at degree level.
Possess a genuine passion for solving technical problems.
Show demonstrable interest in construction, engineering, and new technologies.
