Ralli Quays, Salford

Value - £650m | Client - Legal & General UK Property Fund

This development will complete the New Bailey district of Salford and combines a Grade A office with a 16-storey 4* hotel.

The scheme, on behalf of Legal & General Investment, is a forward thinking and exciting landmark project due to its energy saving objectives.

Working with L&G, providing civil and structural, river modelling and geoenvironmental services, the proposed development involves the demolition of the existing 1990s office building to make way for the exciting new scheme, and will incorporate exemplary sustainability credentials with reduced energy demand and renewable energy sources.

As with all our designs we are reviewing the extent of embodied carbon used in the structural frame and foundations.  This iterative approach throughout the design process from conception through to construction allows us to consider alternative approaches to the structural solution, minimising the extent of embodied used.

Testimonial:

“As part of the design we are reviewing the amount of embodied carbon within the structural frame and researching frame options based on energy performance.”
