Our experience in the retail sector ranges from the design of large out of town retail parks and their associated infrastructure, through refurbishment of major department stores, to the design of structural modifications required to small and medium sized high street stores to facilitate rebranding or following acquisition.

Much of our new build work has historically been developer led, whereas the refurbishment, fit out and building assessment work has generally been driven by the retailer. Our expert witness and building appraisal skills are also often called on to advise Clients on various property related issues.

We appreciate the commercial realities of operating in a retail environment. We understand that often the site works are undertaken with the stores fully occupied and we are familiar with the rigorous challenges presented by working in restricted environments, out of hours, in a phased manner to minimise loss of trading.
