Clancy Reinforce Their Presence in Scotland

We are extremely pleased to announce that with effect from Wednesday 1st February 2012, Scottish mechanical and electrical consultants Mexel Design have joined Clancy Consulting Limited, one of the UK’s strongest medium sized privately owned and managed multi disciplinary Engineering Consultants advising the Property and Construction sector.  The move extends Clancy’s presence in Scotland and brings together two companies who have enjoyed a long and successful collaboration. Mexel will relocate to Clancy’s existing offices in Prestwick and Glasgow.

Chief Executive Alan Bramwell commented that “there is excellent synergy in bringing Mexel Design Consultants and their staff on-board with the two Companies sharing many similarities, not least of which are the many years over which both have built an excellent reputation in the market and developed a highly talented and loyal workforce”.

Mexel Design Consultants was established in Scotland over 16 years ago by Derek Galloway and was joined by Barry Lambert in 1997 when the practice operated as a Partnership until Barry retired during 2011.

Mexel have been working collaboratively with Clancy Consulting and the former Hodgins Smith Partnership for a considerable number of years and have developed an extremely good working relationship with each other and their common Client base. Derek will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the building services sections in the Scottish offices at Prestwick and Glasgow.

This development will enable work in Scotland to be even better serviced both for existing Clancy clients who will have access to more locally based staff, operating in the mechanical and electrical consultancy field, and for Mexel clients who will have the greater resources and multi-disciplines of the extended company at their disposal.
