Energy
The preservation of natural resources and reduction in carbon emissions is a major theme in the 21st century and will continue to drive changes to the regulatory frameworks of the UK and Worldwide.
We are at the forefront of implementing these changes, based upon our Low Carbon Research programmes and working closely with BRE.
Our basic philosophy is to help create buildings whose fabric, structural and services design, optimise energy demands and carbon emissions, and minimise environmental impact in a cost effective and socially acceptable way.
We use a number of recognised Environmental Impact Assessment Tools; with Dynamic Thermal Modelling sitting at the head of our integrated approach to Energy Conservation; to help answer many of the project specific "what if ?" questions, the design process asks.
Thermal Modelling also enables us to make informed and cost effective decisions with respect to practical renewable energy solutions and associated carbon savings.
