The scheme includes three flexible teaching spaces at ground floor with the first floor rooms being slightly larger on plan which can be used for a number of different uses but all related to performing arts.
The selection of structural form was developed in close liaison with the Architect and the Building Services Engineer in order to achieve both aesthetic goals, teaching and acoustic requirements. Several options were considered, developed and costed before the most suitable was determined. The Clients brief was to obtain a modern, landmark, functional building within what was a small budget.
